Bike 4 Chris!

How far would YOU go for a friend? Sure, we all say that we'd do anything for our friends, but this guy Marc Horowitz of bike4Chris.com is actually doing it. Recently his friend Chris Vatuone was diagnosed with late disseminated Lyme Disease, symptoms of which can include fevers, muscle and joint pains, sleep disturbance, irritability, and more.  Chris has been living with what doctors misdiagnosed as chronic depression for 8 years now. He can hardly sit, stand or sleep without excruciating pain. Here is Marc's plan to help his friend:

Marc's ride from San Fran to his home in LA starts this Thursday Aug. 30th, and so far, he can only travel about 252,151 feet. Remember, he's only pedaling one foot per cent that is donated! No donations=no pedaling. So far, folks have donated $2,521.51 dollars. It is 2,664,000 FEET from San Francisco to LA which equals a total donation of $26,640.00.

But be QUICK and donate now! Marc only has 15 days to complete his trip! He'll be documenting the whole thing, which is already fun to watch, check out his recent clip about packing his bike for the trip to San Fran:

If you donate over $50, Marc will take a scenic photo wherever he is and dedicate it to the donor. For those who donate $100 or more, he will list you or your business on his site as an official sponsor for the ride. All donations go to Chris’ caretaker, Catheryn Vatuone and following the ride, Chris begins his treatment.

I just gave Marc more feet to ride...what about you?

Adventure On!
