Ophelia Hoppy Wheat Ale from Breckenridge Brewery is a seasonal treat here in Colorado. This hoppy style wheat ale pours to a hazy golden color with a thin white head. Fruity citrus flavors and a hoppy taste blasts through this wheat ale from front to finish. The feel is earth and dough like with a wheat backing. Overall the Ophelia Hoppy Wheat Ale is an extremely easy drinking beer. It’s smooth taste and light feel combined with a moderate ABV of 5.0% make these bottles empty fast. I enjoyed this one on top of Muley Point overlooking Monument Valley to the south and Valley of the Gods to the east. It was a pretty spectacular place to enjoy a beer. A well deserved beer for a relaxing evening.
This seasonal brew is available from January through April. Don’t let that worry you though, there’s still plenty to find in local liquor stores, for now.
