Consecration
This lovely BOTW comes all the way from Russia with love! Okay, not really. Russian River Brewing Company is from the Golden State, Santa Rosa, CA. actually. But Consecration is a sour ale with a warm enough bite to thaw the frozen tundra!
Consecration Sour Ale is aged in Cabernet Sauvignon barrels from local wineries 4-8 months with black currants, brettanomyces, lactobacillus, and pediococcus added to each barrel. The Consecration is a full bodied sipper with an ABV of 10.00%. This Sour Ale pours to a murky dark body with very little head, that quickly disappears. You can pretty much say the same for the lacing, as it leaves next to none on the glass. It's a serious looking ale with a shank on the label and cork sealing it closed. The Consecration is a tasty sour for any occasion, but I prefer it at home to unwind with. It's a great beer to end the week on.
Bunny has frequently been called, “The Motivator” of UpaDowna. He resides in Colorado Springs, but is more likely to be found with his dog Coheed in the vast wilderness areas of the Rocky Mountains.
