This tasty little treat from Deschutes Brewery is about as light as it gets for an IPA. The Chainbreaker is a White IPA with an ABV of 5.6% and high carbonation. Light bitterness followed with a light citrus flavor. Light, light, light, light, but yet still a pleasant beer to drink, especially on a warm Monday evening. Normally a beer this light wouldn't make the cut as a BOTW, but there is something about this one that still delivers. I find the Chainbreaker to be a pleasant beer that goes down with the greatest of ease. It pours to a bright yellow body and a very thin head, with a minimal lacing that clings to the glass. Again this is a very easy drinker, but good. If you're in the mood for something light but still want the sense of drinking an IPA this might be the drink you're looking for.
