Hazelnut Brown Nectar
The UpaDowna team had a great time last week in Salt Lake City, at the Outdoor Retailer Show. I'm back now and going over notes and highlights of all the awesome new gear from the show. Of course a good beer is best consumed while doing this, so I'm going with the award winning Hazelnut Brown Nectar from Rogue Ales.
If you're a fan of Hazelnut flavoring then you'll definitely enjoy this one. This sweet and smooth ale screams of rich hazelnut! Rogue balanced a sweet flavor nicely with the Brown Ale style on this one. The nectar pours to a rich copper malty brown body with a fluffy off white-beige head. A very sweet brew that goes down smooth and easy with 6.20% ABV.
If you're a fan of Hazelnut, chocolate, toffee, or flavored coffees, I think you'll really enjoy this one. Be warned though, drinking one of these leaves you with that same sinful feeling you get after a having a rich desert. IT'S WORTH IT THOUGH!!!
