The hip is feeling better and I have been ditching the cane the last few days and I think I am ready to start the Jack Quinn's weekly 5k's again. I will definitely run slow, hell I may walk but I need to do something. I am a bit worried because I have to take my Mountain Biking class for their "field experience" this weekend!! I am planning on riding gently this Friday to see how my hip handles it.
I did call Vance of Vance's Bicycle World in Pueblo A.K.A.

I am sure you all know I have a fractured pelvis and as I sit here looking at my bike, I dream of better things like sweet singletrack shown in this video. May your track be fast and your tires sticky.

First ride on my motorcycle this year and some asshat hit me and took off!!! I didn't get the chance to see his plates all I remember was a red sports car. Then two other cars passed me as I was laying on the road!!! Eventually I got my bearings and I was able to pick the bike up bend the rear brake pedal back in place and sorta fix the mirror that was left and I rode it to the in-laws farm.
I reported it to the cops but they said it was a non investigated incident because I couldn't really ID the car if I saw it again. I guess that makes sense.

April 6, 1933 New Beer's Eve
April 7, 1933 End of Prohibition
For those in the know you have more than likely cracked your first beer of the day in celebration of the end of prohibition. Today marks the day when you could no longer be arrested for enjoying one of the finer things in life.

There are those times when a beer is what you need, whether it be at your local bar or on the couch, in the hills or just out there. The problem that I have had in the past is the lack of variety. Some beer snobs will drink their brew religiously and mock those that drink around, hell I have a friend that thinks of his beer as a relationship, if he drinks another he feels he is being unfaithful.
The problem is he is blinded by Budweiser.
Well here in Woodland Park, Colorado we have a great service being provided. A genuine Beer Buffet!!!!

It always feels good to get together with good friends load up the rig and hit the trail head. Today I got out on the bike for the first time this year!! It has been way to long, but I felt the bond returning. For those of you that ride you most assuredly know what I mean by a "bond". There is some seemingly indescribable feeling when my mind body and bike flow over the singletrack as one. It is magical.

As the temperatures warm and the sun remains up a bit longer I find myself anxious and eager for the days on the bike or spent climbing. Days filled with adventure and night filled with reflection. This spring is our son Cody's first and as he becomes more mobile and the temperatures are manageable I have started to look at the new activities I can now enjoy.
Don't get me wrong I will always yearn for days blasting down the single track or climbing until my forearms are so pumped I cannot hold my beer.

Weatherbug says its gonna snow tomorrow!!!! Winter weather advisory!! Give me a freaking break!!! Lets get on with the fun in the sun and bag this cold wet stuff for a few months. Every one needs to stop what you are doing, get outside and do a sun dance.
