This week the temps here in Colorado were back up into the 70's which to be honest, I really enjoy. Fact is that I do not think I am ready for the winter, especially if it is the cold harsh snowless winter we "enjoyed" last year. The reality is that I think cold with out snow is pretty lame. There is really no reason for it. I don't mind the full winter effect and have no problem adventuring when it sucks outside its just that if it is going to be horrible I want the full effect.

I am the type of adventurer that has to get clean as soon as I get home. I can't stand the feel of dirt under my nails, semi-dreadlocked hair, and the thick, heavy stench of campfire threaded into my clothes. Now out in the wilderness, I could care less, but as soon as I step through the threshold of my house, everything goes in the washer.

UPDATE: GM has been very active on social media sites admitting their mistake and they have replaced the ad. Thanks to GM for acting swiftly. Yes it was a mistake and yes GM is doing the right thing by attacking it and fixing it.
As most of us are spending the days touting the healthy benefits of cycling and other outdoor pursuits General Motors is trying their hardest to hit a demographic ripe for manipulation, the college students.

I just caught this on Grind TV and was blown away. It seems that Evan van der Spuy was racing in South Africa when apparently he startled a Red Hartebeest which did exactly what apparently most African wild animals do, it attacked with a flying drop kick and yeah made his point quite well. Fortunately Evan was not seriously injured in the attack that could have no doubt been lethal. I still am not sure whay the Hildebeest jumped to attack him on the bike rather that lower its head and impale the guy.
