Thanks for the encouragement. I actually had a conversation with a buddy on a mountain bike ride a few days back about nutrition and hydration and how it seems to matter now than when I was younger. As for the weather being an issue, I completely understand and I have managed to push through the nastiness with sheer will power even through snow storms and temperatures below 0F...but it was tough, real tough.
Wow, 3 days in a row would be a feat for me! I just wanted to offer you words of encouragement for the great job you're doing w/ 33+ days. Like you, as the years go by, I think about my overall well being and how much exercise (completed that Insanity program) and diet play a much bigger part now. I too like my bacon and beer. I also like to jog, but it's hard to do in the winter here in the Midwest. To put it simple, jogging in the cold isn't fun. Keep up the good, hard work!
I have these shoes and I love them. They are so light weight and comfortable. I adore the lacing system, although it can be a bit grueling to get the lace into the pocket. The lace has to be pushed above the pocket in order to make it fit. For those of you concerned with aesthetics, the colors are great. I have both the pop green/celadon/papaya and the papaya/pewter shoes. I cannot decide which I like better. The pop green are very bright. I usually wear a size 7 in running shoes and wear a size 6.5 in Salomon. They are a bit roomy but in a good way. I think these will be a hit.
It was a pleasure to have you two there Randi! We're looking forward to an amazing 2012 and the Bicycle Film Festival would be one more thing that will make living here in Colorado Springs a wonderful choice :)
Love the picture you chose. :) Well, it sounds like USADA is still pressing ahead, so the witch hunt isn't quite over yet. It seems like such a waste of time and money, though. I mean, at this point does anyone really care (if he did or didn't)? Personally, I think he most likely did dope to the gills; but honestly, considering everyone else was, too, I don't think it really made anything unfair.
Your toes should be a little loose in shoes while your instep and heel are secure. This improves the ability of your foot to stabilise your body and prevents chronic issues such as bunions, metatarsalgia, and morton's neuroma.
Any pictures? The "Gallery" link didn't work for me. I'm trying to tackle the same challenge -- sleeping platform that also allows me to store my bike.

I own this jacket as well. It's a nice fit. I plan on altering the zippers+ to make them more maneable with gloves by drilling a small hole and adding a nylon zipper pull.
A few comments of constructive criticism. I would like to see initial photos of you wearing the jacket to show fit giving your measurements and size of the jacket. Then show additional photos and comments of all the features ie inside pockets uses, etc. A side by side comparison of the Gnar hoody would be a welcome addition to the review imho.
Maybe an actual weight of the jacket compared to the spec would be a nice touch .
A post winter follow up would also be a snazzy touch to see how the jacket holds up to day in/day out usage &/or use in the backcountry. Photos too.
I am sorry it took me so long to realize you had left a comment...pretty lame I know. As for a fix I swapped out the insole for one out of some other Saucony trail runners I had on hand and eventually went to a superfeet insole...but come on for the price that is being asked for these shoes I would think the insole should be bomber...and not cause so many issues
I am not sure if Salomon would produce any replacements, I ended up swapping in an after market insole to fix it and that solved the issue. I think the insole it comes with is cut a little too narrow so any other insole should do you some justice. But I will ask the Salomon rep when I see them next week.

Sounds awesome! Hopefully we get some snow before then.
Rob I stole some from some old Saucony shoes and then put in superfeet later on...sorry for the long wait in reply.
