The first time I saw the Rock Out Portable Speaker in use was late Spring of 2011, on a quick over night backpacking trip into the Lost Creek Wilderness Area of Colorado, with Jeff Popp of Mile High Mountaineering. We had just finished setting up camp and we're kicking back enjoying a couple of beers when Jeff asked me how I felt about a little music. Why not I thought. I wasn't out there with a heavy head or soul searching. Jeff then pulled out his iPhone and quickly connected it to the Rock Out Speaker which he then hung from a tree we sat under. I remember thinking how convenient that was. The area we were in was under a heavy fire ban at the time, and the music comfortably seemed to replace the familiarity of the normal campfire. The small portable speakers produced a great sound quality and I was amazed by the volume level! We B.S.'d for hours into the night, drinking beers with good music filling the air.
I've since this trip picked up my own Rock Out Portable Speakers and I have not yet been disappointed. The speakers can be recharged through a USB connection, or via Goal Zero's Nomad 7 Solar Panel for the on the go adventurer. Overall the Rock Out Portable Speaker is awesome! It can be used anywhere for anything, commutes, the bathroom, the office, adventure, travel, cycling, yard work, whatever, wherever, whenever, it's up to you! If you love your music and like to keep the jams going, I recommend you lighten your load, lose the batteries, and pick up your own set of Goal Zero's Rock Out Portable Speakers!
