The CamelBak Relay water filtering pitcher is an innovative filtering pitcher unlike the rest. The CamelBak Relay uses a double filtering system that filters the water at the speed of the faucet. Yes, as fast as you can fill it. It's not done there though. The water is filtered for a second time on the pour as well, removing common themed problems associated with tap water such as odor, chlorine, rust, metallic flavors, and other off tastes. I never dreamt of reviewing a water pitcher before or anything else that lives in my fridge, other than beer of course. I have to admit I'm glad I am though. Here in Colorado Springs there isn't a whole lot to worry about when it comes to our tap water, and for those that think differently I challenge you to travel more, and then tell me what you think about the water here. I do enjoy a cold fresh glass of water though, so I'll be keeping the Relay filled and in the fridge.

The CamelBak Relay as mentioned is a double filtering pitcher with a volume of 80 ounces and stands 9.8" tall. It has a slim build so it doesn't take up too much room in your fridge, which is important so it doesn't hog valuable beer real estate. I found the door to be the best place to keep it. The pitcher itself and the design behind it, to also include the lid are impressive. The lid has a No-Spill locking design with an easy to removable rubber seal. All pieces of the Relay are top rack dishwasher safe except for the filter. The filters go to work immediately as you run tap water through it into the body of the Relay filling from the top of the lid. The filter is then active once again on the pour do to the double sided filter system.

The filter lasts for four months which is about twice as long as other filtration pitcher's filters on the market. The Relay has an easy to read reminder dial displaying the filter's remaining life located on the top of the lid. Simply rotate the dial to the corresponding month that you put the new filter in and it will by default also show the expiration month.

Additional CamelBak Relay Filters can be purchased at Target, Amazon, and directly from CamelBak available by the single filter or sold in a three pack (1 year's worth).

Some major pros for me on the Relay are the extremely fast filtering system, the ergonomic handle, the replacement filter indicator dial,  and the secure spill proof lid. Overall I think the Relay is a great addition to any fridge. Having clean cold filtered water at the ready is never a bad thing.

Bunny
