Chocolate Oak Aged Yeti

Photo:

In honor of Steve, how could we not have a Yeti Imperial Stout??? This is one easy going beer. It has somewhat of a sweet chocolate after taste, and it goes great with a juicy steak! The Yeti like so many other great beers, is also brewed here in Colorado, at the Great Divide Brewing Co. out of Denver. Yeti's come in bomber bottles and go for about $10. It's has an ABV of 9.5% and packs in a whopping 75 IBU's. Unlike it's namesake it's really not that hard to find. Check the individual bottle section in the cooler of your favorite liquor store, or see if they have a specialty beer section hiding in the corner. Yeah, I admit it's a little pricey for one beer, but if you needed a celebratory beer for anything the Yeti's a winner! Some of Yeti's credentials: Silver Medal Great American Beer Festival, 2009 Bronze Medal Great American Beer Festival, 2008 Silver Medal Great American Beer Festival, 2005 Bronze Medal Great International Beer Competition, 2005 Bronze Medal European Beer Star Competition, 2009 Silver Medal Brew New Zealand Beer Awards, 2009 Great Divide Brewing Company, I believe.
