3rd Saturday Adventure- Palmer Park – Templeton Trail

Join UpaDowna for our 3rd Saturday adventures.  Once a month we will lead a guided hike to explore a new trail, hike, or adventure topic.  All ages, abilities, and experience levels are welcome!

Templeton Trail is a 3.9 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Colorado Springs, Colorado that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from April until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Austin Bluffs Pkwy to N Academy Blvd. Go south on Academy to Maizeland Rd. Turn right (east) on Maizeland, go about a quarter mile to the park entrance on the right (Paseo Rd). Proceed into the park, past the athletic fields and the dog park. Go up the hill 1 mile; as the paved road turns left, turn right onto a dirt road (look for sign to Yucca Flats) that then curves left. Follow this to the end. The cul de sac at the end is the trailhead.
