Adventure on Tap: Promoting Mental Health Through Nature
October 2 @ 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Event Details: Adventure on Tap is apart of UpaDowna’s Community Campfire Program. This series is a casual gathering as our speakers share their stories, passions, and experiences outdoors to inspire you to pursue adventure and new activities!
‘Gather around the campfire’ and meet us at Homa Cafe in Kinship Landing on Wednesday, October 2 from 6-7pm as Sebastian Slovin, founder of Nature Unplugged, discusses the rise of the attention economy and explore what’s happening behind the scenes to make us so obsessed with the devices and screens in our lives. Most importantly, we will focus on solutions that promote balance and wellness. This workshop offers an introduction to Nature Unplugged’s ‘Wellness in the Digital Age‘ concepts and curriculum, including healthy boundaries with technology, reconnecting with nature and living with more intention in a digitally distracted world. This workshop gives participants the tools and resources needed to make an immediate and positive impact in their lives.
Event Cost: AOT is free a event. $5 recommended donation. Donate what you can afford from $1 to your desired amount! Donations can be made at the event. Extended Happy Hour specials on food and beverages from Homa Cafe will be provided to all participants.
Why Donate?: UpaDowna’s aims to break down barriers to outdoor adventures. Donations allow our nonprofit to continue to offer free and affordable events to our community!
