About November’s Speaker: Luis Benitez
In June 2015, Gov. Hickenlooper appointed Luis Benitez as the state’s first Director of the Colorado Outdoor Recreation Industry Office. The creation of this office exemplifies the importance of the $13.2 billion outdoor recreation industry in Colorado, and the healthy communities and healthy economies it creates throughout the state.
Luis is one of the more experienced, respected, and busiest professional guides and leadership development consultants in the world. He has summited the top of the famed “Seven Summits” 32 times, including being a six-time summiteer of Mt. Everest. Join us as Luis discusses his mountaineering exploits as well as his new role as Director of the Outdoor Rec Industry office.

The Adventure on Tap Speaker Series will take place at The Ute & Yeti, 21 N. Nevada from 6-8pm. Formats may change, depending on the speaker and their presentation. The event is free but donations to UpaDowna are always encouraged.
