What is SPUR?

  • To UpaDowna, the definition of SPUR is Similar Paths United (by) Recreation. Many of us walk the same path and don’t even know it. Finding camaraderie with others who share similar interests helps us feel more comfortable with new experiences. Many times, it can also help to share your challenges with folks who are “climbing” the same mountain as you.
  • SPUR Teen Adventures was created for COS teens ranging from 13 to 18 years old to meet new friend while trying different activities around Colorado. With many schools moving to remote learning and sport seasons being postponed, it is important for teenagers to still have opportunities to be physically active and connect with others of their age. In addition to making new friendships, participants will also will learn about environmental awareness such as Leave No Trace Principles.
