The Colorado Trail Project- Adventure on Tap Feat: Devin Allen @ The NextUs Workspace | Colorado Springs | Colorado | United States

Devin Allen is a 53-year old outdoors enthusiast who loves mountain biking but finds adrenaline rushes in lots of other things including rock climbing, hiking, trail running, snowboarding, backpacking, camping, climbing 14’ers, wake-surfing and golf…. (yes, golf). He has run the Pikes Peak Ascent twice, climbed a bunch of 14’ers, ridden the White Rim and Kokopelli Trails in Utah (non-stop) and completed the Colorado Trail by bike and foot in 2015. He is married 27 years to Leslie and has two sons, Orry and Ross. He earns a living as a PE teacher and photographer and has resided in Colorado Springs for nearly 20 years.

This presentation will focus primarily on The Colorado Trail Project, Devin’s attempt at running and mountain biking the entire 500-mile Colorado Trail over the course of a summer when he was nearly 50 years old. It will include a 25-minute video of the effort, an overview of the trail itself, the bike-packing setup Devin used for the project and a discussion of the do’s & don’ts, highs & lows and good’s & bad’s of the whole adventure.
