Take some time to slow down and join yoga instructor, Jessica Watson, for her all level vinyasa yoga flows every other Thursday in July at Nancy Lewis Park (6:00- 7:00pm). These classes are designed for ALL folks of ALL yoga levels. A $7 donation per person is suggested, but feel free to donate what you can afford!
What: “Yoga in the Park” – a donation-based class
Why: To encourage the community to come together and practice self care outdoors through our NEW Yoga in the Park program!
Who: All ages are welcome to sign up.
How: Choose one or two donation-based tickets. Type in your donation amount and then continue registration. Want to donate by cash or check? Please call us.
Have 4 or more people, or even a group? Contact us for a private session! 631-618-7963.
Goals:
* To help individuals or couples practice self care and enjoy yoga in a safe and fun environment.
* To overcome as many barriers as possible (cost, equipment, location, knowledge) in order for all ages and abilities to try yoga.
Please note: Yoga in the Park is limited to 9 people. It is HIGHLY recommended that you arrive 15 minutes early to check in. If you arrive later than 5pm, you might not be able to join the class. Call 631-618-7963 if you will be late.
UpaDowna must abide by specific guidelines due to the current situation. Important information to note:
-SPACE IS LIMITED to 9 participants and we will strictly enforce capacity guidelines set by local authorities and state ordinances
-You MUST register on EventBrite prior to the program (you will be required to sign a waiver stating that you have not been experiencing COVID symptoms)
-Each party must register separately on EventBrite (including families or children)
-Once the event is full on EventBrite there will be a waiting list
WHEN YOU ARRIVE:
-Look for the UpaDowna sign/ table – we will be at the pavilion.
-Masks are not required but strongly encouraged. We will have a few UpaDowna neck gaiters available for purchase for $16.00 if you would like to purchase one to be used as a mask.
-Check in with Jessica, our wonderful yoga instructor.
If you have not pre-registered you will not be allowed to participate per state ordinance.
Because of COVID, we are encouraging participants to bring their own yoga mats (message us if you need one via Facebook or by email: delina.auciello@upadowna.org)!
Each yoga mat will be 6 feet apart on all sides. If it looks like less than 6 feet, the instructor will measure and may ask you to move. If you are participating with people with whom you are not social distancing (live in same household), let the instructor know upon check-in.
If you are coughing or showing other signs of illness, you will be asked to leave. Please stay home if you are sick and remove yourself from the roster to allow others to sign up.

Why do I need to donate?
To help sustain this program, donations are needed to assure it can continue and that participants will attend.
Am I allowed to bring a friend?
Yes, but they need to sign up for an online ticket as well.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No
Can I bring my family to the event?
Yes. But the program is limited to 9 participants and each participant requires their own ticket. If you have not pre-registered you will not be allowed to participate per state ordinance.
Is this a fun event?
Yes! It is for all levels and it is UpaDowna’s FIRST (wow!!) Yoga in the Park program.
