UpaDowna Little Hikers: ABCs Hike!

Come join us for a kid friendly adventure where we will go on an alphabet hike. After our short hike we will do an alphabet nature craft. This is a free event but you MUST register on EventBrite to attend. LIMIT: 7 PARTICIPANTS

“UpaDowna ABC’s Hike” This is a SPUR event (Similar Paths United by Recreation). It is geared towards Little Hikers, which means it is for families with young children!

Wear sturdy shoes, bring sun protections, water and snacks.

To UpaDowna, the definition of SPUR is Similar Paths United (by) Recreation. Many of us walk the same path and don’t even know it. Finding camaraderie with others who share similar interests helps us feel more comfortable with new experiences. Many times, it can also help to share your challenges with folks who are “climbing” the same mountain as you.

Details: Join our Family Activities Coordinator, Sarah, for a fun kid friendly hike alphabet hike with a fun activity to follow!
Please note: This activity is limited to 7 people. It is HIGHLY recommended that you arrive 15 minutes early to check in.

UpaDowna must abide by specific guidelines due to the current situation. Important information to note:

SPACE IS LIMITED to 7 participants and we will strictly enforce capacity guidelines set by local authorities and state ordinances
-You MUST register on EventBrite prior to the program
-Each party must register separately on EventBrite (including families or children)

WHEN YOU ARRIVE:
-Look for and check in with Sarah, UpaDowna’s Family Activities Coordinator
-Sign two waivers (UpaDowna Waiver and UpaDowna COVID Waiver)
-Masks are not required but strongly encouraged. We will have a few UpaDowna neck gaiters available for purchase for $16.00 if you would like to purchase one to be used as a mask.
If you have not pre-registered you will not be allowed to participate per state ordinance.
Hikers are encouraged to be 6 feet apart from each other when possible. If you are participating with people with whom you are not social distancing (live in same household), let the instructor know upon check-in.

UpaDowna’s July Yoga in the Park Dates: 7/2, 7/16, 7/30! All classes are ALL Levels Vinyasa Flow!

ONLY 9 SPOTS AVAILABLE per program date – You must register with EventBrite link to participate!

Details: Take some time to slow down and join UpaDowna staff member, Amy Hodges, for her all level vinyasa yoga flows every other Thursday in July at Nancy Lewis Park (5:00- 6:00pm). These classes are designed for ALL folks of ALL yoga levels. A $7 donation per person is suggested, but feel free to donate what you can afford!

Please note: Yoga in the Park is limited to 9 people. It is HIGHLY recommended that you arrive 15 minutes early to check in. If you arrive later than 5pm, you might not be able to join the class. Call 631-618-7963 if you will be late.
