What: The “Folk’N’Flannel” is a yearly fundraiser for the 501(c)3 nonprofit UpaDowna

Where: Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort, Manitou Springs, CO

When: Fri. Oct. 2nd 2pm- Sun. Oct. 4th at 2pm

Why: UpaDowna’s mission is to provide access to outdoor adventures for all through events and programs that empower individuals, create healthier communities, and foster a respect for the environment. In order to provide free and donation based experiences in the outdoors, we need donations! Unique experiences in the outdoors can lead to healthier lifestyle practices, reduced ADHD and Autism symptoms as well as increased self-confidence and overall mental & physical health and well being! UpaDowna is not your average fundraising type…you know…a fancy breakfast, dinner or gala that takes place INSIDE…so we’re mixing it up with an OUTDOOR camping fundraiser complete with good music, tasty food, cold beer, epic adventures, and beautiful scenery in the mountains of Colorado!

**OPEN to the first 150 people, Get your tickets now!**

In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, all guests will be required to wear a mask (each guest will receive a Special Edition Folk ‘n’ Flannel mask upon arrival). Social distancing will be encouraged at the event (tent spaces will be 6 feet apart in all directions and guests are required to bring their own tent chairs for the band performances to reduce the spread of the virus). Outdoor activities will be by sign up and will be limited to the specific number of participants outlined and mandated by the state of Colorado during the time of the event. Because the event has to be on a smaller scale, which has severely limited our programming for the year, this fundraiser is a much bigger deal for UpaDowna than in past years as the funds we raise will help to keep us afloat for the year. We understand times are tough and are trying our best to promote local businesses at this event. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor please call: 719-429-9006.

Due to the change in event space, accommodations are much more limited than in past years. There are fewer tent and van options, however, our gracious event venue sponsor Buffalo Lodge has A LOT of GREAT rooms available at an EXTREMELY discounted rate!

**** From MON. August 17th to MON. August 31st selecting a room at Buffalo Lodge is 50% OFF (prices on eventbrite are with the 50% OFF discount). After the first two weeks of sales, selecting a room at Buffalo Lodge will be 25% OFF (Sept 1st-Sept 15th). ALL rooms are FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE! ****

9/15-9/30: Admission- $50/adult (21+) for one night, $90/adult for both nights. $30/per child (6-20) for one night, $50/per child for both nights.

-Selecting a room at the lodge will be done by you through direct booking on the Buffalo Lodge website. Buffalo Lodge rooms will no longer be available on EventBrite.

Staying overnight at this event is encouraged, but not required. There will be a lot of beer and alcohol for sale at this event. If you choose to not stay overnight, you will be required to sign a waiver stating that UpaDowna can not be held liable and that it is your sole responsibility to get home safely (via uber, lyft, sober friend, etc.).

**** When selecting a room, if you are planning on booking that room for both FRI and SAT of the event you MUST select FRI Only and SAT Only options. If you do not, someone else can book the room for the day you did not select, the same goes for both tent and van spots. ****

The Folk’n’Flannel is a unique festival & fundraiser that takes place in the fall each year. Festival-goers are welcomed to Camp with numerous activities waiting, yoga classes, paddleboarding, SUP Yoga, biking Garden of the Gods, corn hole tournaments beginning, beach volleyball, music playing, whiskey tastings, and beer flowing. Tent, van camping, and lodging campers are escorted to their tent space or lodge sites and they can set up their camping areas in the designated spots to encourage social distancing. Food trucks will come to the event and offer discounts/ deals for dinner and the s’mores for dessert are on us! Various bands will play each night at an“intimate” yet socially distant setting. Complimentary breakfast is served the next morning and multiple UpaDowna activities like biking, stand up paddle boarding, SUP Yoga, hiking, and kids scavenger hunts are available during the event. Festival-goers will also get the opportunity to compete in a corn hole tournament, a “Facial Hair Frenzy” beard and mustache competition, and even take photos in the photo booth with Freddie the Yeti!
