3rd Saturday Adventure- St Peter's Dome Trail

Join UpaDowna for our 3rd Saturday adventures.  Once a month we will lead a guided hike to explore a new trail, hike, or adventure topic.  All ages, abilities, and experience levels are welcome!

Saint Peter’s Dome Trail is a 1.2 mile moderately trafficked out and back trail located near Colorado Springs, Colorado that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. Well behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on a leash.

Directions from Colorado Springs: Begin at the intersection of Penrose Boulevard and Cheyenne Mountain Boulevard. Take Old Stage Road (FDR 368) 6.5 miles from there to Gold Camp Road (FDR 370). Travel 1 mile to the trailhead on the right (north) side of the road.

Ring The Peak and Limber Pines Trail is a moderate 2.8 mile moderately trafficked loop trail  with 393 feet of elevation gain located near Woodland Park, Colorado that features a lake, and stunning views of Pikes Peak. Well behaved dogs are allowed if kept on leash.

Join UpaDowna for our 3rd Saturday adventures.  Once a month we will lead a guided hike to explore a new trail, hike, or adventure topic.  All ages, abilities, and experience levels are welcome!

Templeton Trail is a 3.9 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Colorado Springs, Colorado that features beautiful wild flowers and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from April until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

 

Directions:

Austin Bluffs Pkwy to N Academy Blvd. Go south on Academy to Maizeland Rd. Turn right (east) on Maizeland, go about a quarter mile to the park entrance on the right (Paseo Rd). Proceed into the park, past the athletic fields and the dog park. Go up the hill 1 mile; as the paved road turns left, turn right onto a dirt road (look for sign to Yucca Flats) that then curves left. Follow this to the end. The cul de sac at the end is the trailhead.

Join UpaDowna for our 3rd Saturday adventures.  Once a month we will lead a guided hike to explore a new trail, hike, or adventure topic.  All ages, abilities, and experience levels are welcome!

Monument Rock is a 2.7 mile moderately trafficked loop trail with 269 feet of elevation gain.  The hike is set in beautiful Pike National Forest. Well behaved dogs are welcome on -leash.

Directions:

Take the Monument exit (161) off Interstate 25 and drive west for a half-mile on Second Street until it ends at Mitchell Avenue. Turn left and drive 0.6 mile to Mount Herman Road. Turn right and drive 0.75 mile to a Forest Service parking lot on the left.
