If you were ever to find yourself in a survival situation a solid multitool and the know how to use it, could greatly increase your odds of survival.
The Bear Grylls Survival Tool Pack is more than just a multi-tool. It comes with a durable rubber locking sheath that also houses a mini flashlight and a fire starter rod, making it a complete survival kit.
With a lifetime warranty the multi-tool itself is built strong from the bottom up. In a very Bear Grylls like fashion, the tool's body is designed with thick "grippy" rubber handles that allow you to comfortably apply more force as needed for tough jobs. Completing the package are 12 useful locking tools, needle nose pliers, a file, a partially serrated blade, a small flathead screwdriver, scissors, a pierce, wire cutters, standard pliers, a small saw, Phillips screwdriver, a medium flathead screwdriver, and of course a bottle opener!
Overall I'm a fan. The Bear Grylls Survival Tool Pack from Gerber, is a complete set up in a compact easy to carry package. If you properly maintain the tools and replace the flashlight batteries along with the fire starter strike stick as needed, you'll find this multi-tool to be a very dependable and useful piece of gear for a long time to come.
A fan of Bear Grylls or not the guy has made a reputation by risking his life time after time in survival situations, and always comes out on top. This is a tool he proudly puts him name and uses again and again. If it's good enough for him I'd have to imagine it'll more than get the job done for anyone else.
