LOST CREEK WILDERNESS: Camping trip Suggested $10 donation
WHO: No more than 10 campers (this is an easy trail with no special considerations)
WHAT: Join us as we explore the Lost Creek wilderness on this short over night trip. We will hike a few miles into the wilderness area and establish camp. From there we will take a few day hikes through the wilderness area and experience amazing vistas, flowing creeks and incredible rock formations. Lost creek wilderness is a diamond in the rough that was spared from the destructive forces of the Hayman Fire. This area is in our back yard and is not to be missed.
Bring all of your personal camping gear and meals/hiking snacks. Water is abundant so plan to filter or purify as needed. Plan for one overnight.

WHERE: Meet at 7am at the Safeway Parking lot on Colorado and 31st street in Old Colorado City
WHEN: July 6th – return July 7th 5pm
WHY: Lost Creek Wilderness is one of the most unique wildreness areas near Colorado Springs and offers some amazing views of Pikes Peak. This gem was spared during the Hayman Fire and gives a glimpse of both the destruction of a wild fire as well as a land left untouched.
BONUS: Learn about this amazing areas flora and fauna and enjoy a cool escape from the blazing summer heat.
