PROGRAMS & CLASSES
One of the best ways to learn is through experience! Our programs and events aim to instill confidence and build new skill sets and passions among our participants. The majority of UpaDowna’s events are open to all ages and abilities. Programs are free or donation-based and in many cases, we provide the gear you need.
If you may need more assistance, adaptive gear, or have other questions, please do not hesitate to let us know at info@upadowna.org
Join UpaDowna for a new hike each month! Taking place on the 3rd Saturday of every month, UpaDowna meetss for an all-level hike followed by brunch and brews at our sponsor brewery. Must be 21+ to drink. Goals for this program include connecting people with their natural surroundings in their community, connecting participants with other community members, and helping to foster a level of comfort with exploring new spaces. 3rd Saturday Adventure is a tribute to UpaDowna’s original motto, “Up a Mountain, Down a Beer!”
This program is for all ages and abilities! No prior swimming or paddling experience is required. Our Summer of Standup Paddleboarding (SUP) program will provide participants with the instruction and equipment to safely recreate on the water! Investing in a SUP can be costly so we aim to break down that barrier by providing Summer of SUP as a donation-based class, meaning participants can donate what they can afford!
