Pub Crawl for MS
Pub Crawl for Multiple Sclerosis

Last weekend I had a chance to take part in a pub crawl for MS, so of course I jumped at the chance to drink for the cause and I signed up. It cost $40 per person, and our team consisted of seven people (it was supposed to be eight, but one guy couldn’t make it). I had never taken part in a “pub crawl” before, and I really had no idea what to expect. At 1 in the afternoon we met at The Lobby in downtown Denver. They gave us four pitchers of beer, and told us we had 45 minutes to drink them and move to the next bar. I am a competitive person and I was up for the challenge. Within the first minute I had downed a beer and was on my second. By bar number three I was feeling it.
The next two bars were blurs, and by 5pm I was completely sauced!
So I have some advice for the first time pub crawler.
1. Eat a large pre crawl meal
2. Pace yourself
3. Don’t take shots during the crawl unless you have too
4. Try to drink water as often as possible
5. Avoid drinking games
6. Plan a day for recovery
7. Avoid post crawl drinking
If you are thinking about getting a group of friends together and drinking for a cause I would definitely recommend it. Here are a couple links that could help get you started for the Denver, CO. area.
