State Games – Climbing

If your looking for something cool to do this weekend, check out the climbing segment of the State Games on Saturday, July 31 and Sunday, August 1 at City Rock. The bouldering area at City Rock is being completely stripped of all it’s problems and all the climbers who create the problems are working feverishly to have all the new routes up for the weekend. A couple days ago I had a chance to jump on a hand full of the problems and they were a ton of fun. There are problems for all levels of climbers so don’t be afraid of going just for fun. The bouldering comp starts on Saturday at 10 am and the route climbing starts at 10am on Sunday. The cost to enter is $25 and you have 3 hours to climb as many routes as possible with the five hardest combine for your final score.
