Double-Wide IPA

The Doube-Wide IPA from Boulevard Brewing Company is an IPA loaded with a full flavored citrus bitterness taste that will leave quite an impression. This IPA pours to a hazy dark orange body with a fluffy full off-white head. The citrus taste and bitterness is subdued slightly by sweet caramel malts, but there's something about that bitter taste that I just can't put my finger on. This was definitely a unique tasting IPA and I liked it. With a strong ABV of 8.8% the Double-Wide is best enjoyed as a relaxing sipper. This particular bottle was from from an older rotation. Newer brewed versions are a little lower in ABV, but not much at all.  

The Double-Wide IPA was a fun beer to kick back on the porch with and shoot the breeze with Yeti, while we did some quality people watching. I don't know if the beer made it better or not, but it sure seemed to. This is a beer that I would have no problems ordering if I saw it on the menu at wherever I happened to be. I'm looking forward to having another one of these and calling it a night.
