Arete Clothing

Colorado has a new flavor hitting the outdoor market as well as the streets. Arete Clothing is a Colorado Springs based outdoor enthusiast clothing company created by Andy Mitchell. Arete: Greek: in its basic sense, means "goodness", "excellence" or "virtue" of any kind. In its earliest appearance in Greek, this notion of excellence was bound up with the notion of the fulfillment of purpose or function; the act of living up to one's full potential. Double whammy! It's also a thin almost knife-like ridge of rock, which is typically formed when two glaciers erode parallel in "U" shaped valleys. The arête is the thin ridge of rock that is left separating the two valleys. Mission Statement: Arete Clothing is here to provide a new take on outdoor wear. Our goal is to provide edgy shirt designs for the outdoor enthusiast that not only look good but have a purpose and a story behind them. We are just getting started so keep checking back with us for more updates and new designs. There are some pretty cool ideas coming in the future. Currently the shirts consist of bad ass Colorado themed logos, sick word play, and are made of cotton. Wicking shirts are coming soon.
