Buster Nut Brown Ale

Recommended by our good buddy Steve of FliBye Racing, Buster Nut Brown Ale from Ska Brewing Company is my top choice for this edition of BOTW. After the turkey has settled and the pies are all ate, there is one thing left to do, and that's drink a good beer! Buster Nut Brown Ale definitely filled the bill. Injuries sidelined me this week, while my comrades conquered Mt. Princeton, but I'm thankful to have had a Buster to wash my sorrows away.

The powerful roasted nut taste of this bevy put my mind at ease as I reflected on many great adventures, and thought of how much fun my friends must have had. Being on the IR or not you stop when you want to stop, and my injuries might have slowed me down but I'm far from stopping. This Brown Ale is available year round, but I really had the relaxed feel of drinking a warm winter beer. The wheels started turning and the beer continued to go down smoothly. I watched the shapes left behind in the thin lacing left behind on the glass from my last drink, and I thought of snowshoe trips, hut hikes, and avalanche awareness. The 5.15% ABV wasn't slowing me down as I continued to slowly drink this beer and turn to some old books. My body might be a little banged up right now, but my mind is fine. I drank more and drifted further into some reads as I planned and plotted future trips. The Buster Nut Brown Ale had really set the mood. Its warm taste, and smooth drink calmed my mind and I felt truly relaxed as I studied for future adventures.

I doubt Steve knew his suggestion for BOTW would lead me to some sort of revelation/therapy, and help my frustration from lack of participation or activity during this down time, but I truly think it did. Give the beer credit or not, I somehow remembered who I am, and where I'll soon be again while sipping this bad boy. Then again, maybe Steve did know? Maybe he's some sort of prophet of conscious awareness and enlightenment or something? Or, maybe I just didn't realize how smooth the ale was going down and had one too many! At minimum I can say this, Steve knows a good beer. Thanks for the suggestion. Buster Nut Brown Ale is a great choice beer to wind down with and reflect.
