Share a Ride, Tell a Story, Save a Park.

The GreenXC team consists of a travel photographer/journalist, brand marketing leader and fashion model. They have set out today to make an impact regarding our national parks and forests. The two biggest factors for their motivation is the lack of funding for parks and forests as well as a lack of knowledge and awareness young Americans have for these sacred places.
Today they start their 3 week, 4,447 mile, cross country trip from NY, focusing on ride-shares instead of driving or renting cars. They hope to meet like-minded folks along the way, spread the word and help raise funds for national parks and forests.
The goals for GreenXC is to:
1. Promote Ridesharing/Carpooling to reduce the nation's carbon footprint
2. Promote our National Parks and Forests to the younger generation
3. Raise money to be donated directly to the parks and forests
4. Tell the story of people we meet along the way and raise awareness for Green Businesses.
You can help by donating money here. If you happen to be along their path, you can contact GreenXC and join the ride. You can also help them spread the word by following them on Twitter and Facebook. They might also still need help with funds for their trip. Thanks for the tip on this story from OhRanger.com on Twitter!
