Red Betty

Photo:

An extraordinary week it was, and it needs to be capped off right with an extraordinary beer. This week's beer was donated to me by a good buddy who wanted to share. I'm glad he discovered this brew and pitched one my way. The Red Betty IPA from Central City Brewing was just what I needed to close off the week.

We (UpaDowna) had our monthly 3rd Sunday Adventure Hike today, and it was a hot one out there. We explored the Section 16 area on the Westside of Colorado Springs. It was a beautiful day for a hike, just a bit on the warm side, as it should be in August. I'm glad I saved this beverage all week to enjoy tonight. The Red Betty hit the spot today. The IPA poured to a golden body with a thick and fluffy white head. Earthy hops and toasted malts are the suspects I noticed on the taste buds. The carbonation was nicely balanced and it felt as crisp and refreshing as the beer itself. Bits of lacing clung to the glass as well as on the mouth feel, sticky. With an ABV of 6.5% you could consider the Red Betty a sessionable IPA. Which makes me wish I had more than just the one to end the week.

If you like IPAs the Red Betty won't disappoint. In addition to the awesome logo this beer delivers all around. Oh and if you missed it, it's also available in cans. Which always scores big points with us and makes for easy carry on backpacking trips!

Menikmati,

Bunny
