DPA (Denver Pale Ale)

Photo:

If you are looking for a great Pale Ale that will satisfy your thirst, the Denver Pale Ale from Great Divide Brewing should be on your short list. This refreshing light bodied Pale Ale pours to a clear golden amber body with a medium head. Fruit and floral hops hint at the nose. The taste is more on the malty side with a slight caramel touch to it. I'd put the body at a medium feel with a very nice light carbonation balance. On the backside of this drink I was surprised to find it so refreshing. Not too hoppy or bitter on the follow through. There is a sweetness that shows up with the aftertaste as well that complements the delicate malt profile.

My overall feeling on the DPA was pretty good! It tastes great, very well balanced, solid mouthfeel, and extremely sessionable with an ABV of 5.4%. Nothing too shiny or fancy about this brew just an all around good drinker with a great taste, feel, and flavor. The DPA is definitely going to be a summer time favorite that I'll keep readily available.
